Andrey Sergeevich Dmitriev (29.06.1925, Leningrad, Russia – 13.04.1989), physiologist. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1974; corresponding member since 1972), Doctor of Biological Sciences (1970), Professor (1971). Honored Scientist of the BSSR (1978). Scientific works are devoted to the issues of gravitational biology - the role of labyrinth and extra-labyrinth afferent systems and their interaction in the mechanism of the influence of hypergravity on mental, animal and vegetative functions. Opened the chain ring mechanism of the motor neurohumoral reaction of the intestine, in which the intermediate link is the reflex and humoral changes that occur in organs and tissues during gravitational effects.

Published more than 120 scientific papers, incl. monograph.

Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1976, 1985), "Badge of Honor" (1967), World War of the II degree (1985), medals.
