KARLOVSKY Vladislav Filippovich

Vladislav Filippovich Karlovsky (25.09.1933, v. Molchany, Rechytsa district, Gomel region – 19.08.2010), a scientist in the field of land reclamation and land protection. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2003), Corresponding Member of the All-Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1991), Academician of the Academy of Agrarian Sciences of the Republic of Belarus (1992-2002), Foreign Member of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (1997), Doctor of Engineering Sciences (1980), Professor (1982).

The main scientific papers are devoted to land reclamation and water management. He substantiated the processes of earthworks during the construction of land-reclamation systems in wetlands. He proposed new technologies in the construction of land-reclamation systems in the winter period. Developed mechanization tools for repair and maintenance work on land reclamation systems.

Author of about 220 scientific papers, incl. 5 monographs, 20 certificates of authorship and 8 patents for inventions and industrial designs of machines.

Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1984 for the development of new technologies and the construction of land-reclamation systems in the winter period.

Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1976), "Badge of Honor" (1971), medal.
