NAS of Belarus to Present More Than 60 Innovations and Technologies for Agriculture at Exhibition in Uzbekistan

Vegetable marmalade, chelate fertilizers and new kinds of potatoes resistant to a disease complex. The National Academy of Sciences will represent more than 60 innovations and technologies prospective for the Uzbekistan agricultural market at an exhibition held as part of Belarusian-Uzbek Agricultural Forum (February 25-56, 2020, Tashkent, the Republic of Uzbekistan).

Thus, the Scientific and Practical Centre for Foodstuffs of the NAS of Belarus will demonstrate a series of foodstuffs intended for different population groups to the visitors and participants of the forum. The new products include vegetable marmalade. The product line comprises sweet corn, red carrots, mellow pumpkin, fleshy tomatoes and piquant celery. The marmalade contains prebiotics and has no artificial colourants. The scientists also developed dry breakfast cereals and food concentrates enriched with vitamins and dietary fibers for diet and preventive nutrition, such as corn curls with flax seeds, products enriched with mineral substances and vitamins, dietary fibers, with high nutrition and biological values for children.

The Institute of Dairy and Meat Industry will demonstrate dried starter powders intended for the dairy industry and domestic use, as well as dry mixtures for ice cream.

The Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry will show a range of mineral fertilizers with balanced ratio of fertilizer elements for agricultural plants. The distinctive feature of compound fertilizers is that macro, microelements, and growth regulators are combined in one pellet, with optical ratio of fertilizer elements for a particular culture. The scientists also developed a range of liquid complex microfertilizers on the basis of chelate (copper, manganese, zinc, cobalt, boron, molybdenum). Apart from microelements, the liquid compound fertilizers contain growth regulators, which improves their efficiency and marks them out from other analogous microfertilizers.

The Scientific and Practical Centre of the NAS of Belarus for Potato, Vegetable and Fruit Growing will demonstrate new kinds of potatoes resistant to a disease complex, including such kinds as Manifest, Uladar, Palats, etc.

The Institute of Experimental Veterinary Medicine n.a. S.Vyshelessky will show vaccines for prevention and treatment of viral and bacterial diseases of live-stock animals. The scientists of the Centre for Identification Systems and Electronic Business Operations of the NAS of Belarus will demonstrate technologies of digital identification and traceability of animals and animal products. The system includes a functional complex providing the traceability for products manufactured and shipped by enterprises of the Republic of Belarus in accordance with “from farm to shelf” principle.

On February 25-26, 2020, the Belarusian-Uzbek Agricultural Forum is held in Tashkent under the auspices of Vladimir Dvornik, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus. The main purpose is a practical implementation of the Plan (“Road Map”) for development of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
