Mikhail Gelfand, a well-known Russian scientist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Faculty of the Moscow State University and the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, Deputy Director for Research of the A. A. Kharkevich Institute for Information Transmission Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, visited Minsk at invitation of the "Nauka i Innovatsii" (Science and Innovations) scientific and practical journal of the NAS of Belarus. The meeting with the eminent scientist was held in the Republican Scientific Medical Library on May 13, 2017. More than a hundred and fifty people, mainly students of corresponding profile, listened to the lecture "Molecular Paleontology" attentively and with interest, and joined in an active discussion at the end of the lecture.
