A solemn ceremony of awarding members of combine harvesters crews, who had threshed more than 2 thousand tons of grain, as well as heavy vehicles drivers, who had carried more than 2 thousand tons of grain, was held at the Republican Production Unitary Enterprise “Ustye” of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The celebration was part of a retreat of the Orsha District Executive Committee aimed at reviewing the completion of harvesting work in organizations of the Orsha district.
Senior combine drivers Vladimir Anikeev, Oleg Kiselev, and Andrei Novitsky, heavy vehicles drivers Alexander Novitsky, and Oleg Kazakov were given valuable gifts. Assistants of combine drivers Vladimir Tikhansky, Viktor Timofeev, and Artem Gorely were handed certificates of merit from the Department of Agricultural Sciences.
Currently, the Republican Production Unitary Enterprise “Ustye” of the NAS of Belarus has harvested grain and leguminous crops on an area of 2 304 ha. Gross harvest of grain (grain and leguminous) amounted to 8,186.6 tons with a yield of 48.1 centners per hectare. 881 tons of rapeseed have been harvested; its yield is 22.02 centners per hectare. Fodder harvesting is also successful. To date, 1,754 tons of hay have been harvested (298% compared with 2018), 13,343 tons of haylage (108% compared with 2018), and 4,675 tons of green mass for feeds (169% compared with 2018).
