Scientists from Belarus, Russia, China and Ukraine to produce prognostications for scientific and technical development

The international scientific and practical conference "Science-technology-innovation system: methodology, experience and prospects", organized by the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the NAS of Belarus, opened on 26 September at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

This scientific and organizational event brought together scientists and experts from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and China to consider a wide range of issues covering current trends, models and projections for scientific and technical development, diffusion processes (penetration) of technologies in the "science-production" system, as well as resources and infrastructure for innovative development. Valery Goncharov, Director of the Centre for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the NAS of Belarus, opening the meeting, noted that today special attention is given to combining the efforts of specialists from different areas of science in solving important problems and creating teams on inter- and multidisciplinary bases to work in priority areas. According to Valery Goncharov, an extensive interdisciplinary dialogue between scientists will help to develop a new perspective on economic development and the scientific and technical development. As promising vectors for the medium term, scientists consider a set of objectives for scientific support need to be solved: from nuclear, renewable energy and the development of electric transport to technologies for the human being of the future including aerospace and biotechnology, precision agriculture, technologies of intellectualization of society and ensuring its safety and a number of others.

The international scientific and practical conference "Science-technology-innovation system: methodology, experience and prospects" takes place in Minsk on 26-27 September. The participants are supposed to discuss conceptual aspects of the formation of the intelligence economic model; possible solutions to resolve issues of concern in the development of industrial and economic cooperation in the EAEU; Belarus's role in global service trade chains; current directions for improving the process of certification of highly qualified personnel; directions of innovation policy in the conditions of humanitarian and technological revolution. The conference participants will also give attention to such problems as social consequences of digitalization and the role of neuroscience in future technology development scenarios.
