The collective monograph prepared in the K.Krapiva Institute of Study of Arts, Ethnography and Folklore of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, belongs to the series "The Peoples and Cultures" begun by The Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The book is devoted to one of the East Slavonic nation, the Belarusians. The information about etnodemographic processes in Belarus, settling and number of the Belarusians in different countries of the world, the problems of beginnings and evolution of the Belarusians, traditional forms of material and spiritual culture of this people, their existence in modern life are considered.
