In the monograph prepared in the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, on the basis of written sources and materials of the archaeological investigations the formation and development of Turov Land, one of most ancient and largest political formations on the territory of Belarus, are considered. In the work, are investigated an ethnic history of the Turov Land population, formation of its territory, occurrence and development of cities and village settlements, development of economic and economic life. On the assembled materials the development of culture (architecture, written language, religion, applied arts) and in a context with political events in ancient Rus, especially of nearby territories, the political history of Turov Land is examined. The book is illustrated by the drawings and photos. It is intended for the archaeologists, historians, students of humanitarian high schools, museums personell, researchers of local lore, and amateurs of an ancient history of our country.
