Spiritual-moral values under the conditions of formation of market relations.
Summary: Moral-psychological aspects of Protestantism served in due time as a basis for formation of the market relations in the West are analyzed. A transition of social consciousness from the positions of sacralisation to the recognition of the consciousness freedom principle as a basic democratic value is proved. Some of the features of the spiritual-moral situation of the postsoviet society are considered at the conditions of transition to the market economy.

Summary: The works on science studies and the views of Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences O. N. Trubachev are considered and their place in the framework of such trends of modern science of science, as general science studies, the history of science, organization of science, methodology of science, philosophy of science, ethics of science, psychology of science, sociology of science and language of science is defined. On the ground of the analysis of Trubachev's scientific heritage the conclusion is made that this scientist went down in the Russian and world history of science not only because of his world famous works in the field of Slavic etymology, lexicography, terminology, onomastics, and other trends of the historic-philological thought, but also due to his contribution to the development of modern science studies.

Influence of the mass media on the mass political consciousness of the modern Yemen population. pp. 22--27
Summary: A sociological analysis of the empirical material obtained during the election campaign for the Yemen Parliament (Chamber of Deputies) that characterizes the distinctive features of the mass media influence on the political conscionsness of the Yemen population is made. It is shown that the modern potential of the mass media influence on the mass political consciousness is not so powerful as sometimes it seems. The factors and the conditions that ease their total influence on the conscionsness of an individual and the public opinion of the Yemen population as a whole are revealed.

Principles of legal regulation of the sanitary-epidemic state of the population.
Summary: The article puts forward the principles of legal regulation of the sanitary-epidemic state of the population and analyses them. The author compares the modern legislation of the Republic of Belarus and Russian Federation, refers to the legislation of the Soviet period. The author works out certain proposals on the improvement of legislation currently in force in order to promote the realization of such principles.

Distinctive features of human rights in Islamic states. pp. 34--37
Summary: The traditional conception of human rights cannot pretend to be universally accepted; rather it should make use of national, religious and other traditions. Islam as the religious doctrine demands a continuous link of human rights and Islamic belief. The domination of the community over individuals and the respect of Islamic traditions are the basis of Islamic regard on human rights.

Summary: The scientific approach to development of the economic growth scenario is proposed. It is based on the concept of ratio optimization between gross domestic product (gross value added) and intermediate consumption in the gross output.

Summary: The interconnection between the system of public demands and national interests has been examined. The essence of the economic interest as a basis for business of economic subjects has been revealed. A structural analysis of the environment of production system functioning with regard to the transnational character of the production process has been made. An author's approach is proposed, how to identify the spheres of coordination of inter-subject economic interests and, how to form, on this basis, the principles of the policy of the production system economic security.

Summary: Theoretical fundamentals of the multidimensional economic and statistical analysis in the research of regional diferentiation (on the example of the Gomel region) are elaborated using the ideas of the stage procedure of research with the application of economic cluster zoning, committee zoning of regional systems, the dispersion analysis of the variability of factors in the development of the human potential in the region, the correlation analysis of regional factors in the development of the human potential.

Summary: From the positions of the modern native historical science the BSSR public authority actions in the war time are being reviewed: during the defense of Belarus (summer 1941), in the partisan areas on the occupied territory, in the evacuation and during the post liberation period of the Republic.

Summary: The activity of the law-enforcement agencies is mostly determined by the manpower policy. Its main peculiarity in the given period of time was that the educational methods were dominated by the subjective approaches and the administrative methods. That leaded to the violation of legality by militia officials and to the cadres quality deterioration in general.

Forms of labor organization in the agricultural production of the BSSR in the 80s of XX century. pp. 76--82
Summary: The activity of Soviet and economic organizations of the BSSR in the sphere of establishment and development of collective agreements and renting relations in the kolhos-sovhoz production is analyzed in the article. The author discusses different forms and types of renting relations and shows their role for improving the efficiency of the agricultural production of the Republic. The author analyzes the factors that prevented development of collective and renting methods of agricultural production organization.

Summary: This article is devoted to the question of the anti-fascist propaganda in visual arts of Belarus (1941 -- 1945). The most famous authors in their works articulated their positions on the war, intending to intensify the resistance to the enemy in masses.

Summary: The article provides a viewpoint of an art expert on the problem of the modern art life of Vitebsk as the reflection of policy, economic and cultural changes in Belarus since 1975 to nowadays. Factors of development of art styles and types in local art have been analyzed. Stylistic trends in the modern Vitebsk art have been monitored.

Genesis of Adam Mickiewicz's poem "Forefathers" in the European and Belarusian context.
Summary: The topic under consideration is the problem of genesis of Adam Mickiewicz's poem "Forefathers" in the context of European and Belarusian romanticism of the first half of the 19th century. The main factors which influenced the process of writing the poem are presented here. The author observes the intertextual mutual connections of some of the romantic creative works of that period.
The article is devoted to the 150th Anniversary of Adam Mickiewicz's death.

Maksim Bahdanovich's literary tradition as an ideologic and aesthetic programme. pp. 105--109
Summary: The necessity of investigating Maksim Bahdanovich's heritage as an integral ideologic and aesthetic programme for development of the national literature is substantiated. It is shown that the conception of Europeanization of the Belarusian literature constitutes the basis of Bahdanovich's programme. The great attention is paid to the main elements of the poet's literary tradition and interrelations between them.

Summary: The article analyses B. Tarashkevich's determination of the national language creation center within the Belarusian dialects in the process of its formation and initial development.

Typology of phonetic variants (on the material of Russian criminal argots). pp. 118--125
Summary: Phonemic variants as one of the main types of phonetic variants include the variants with substitution of phonetic elements that is the main object of the consideration in the article. All such variants are classified according to three criteria: a) the quality of a variation marker (one or two and more), b) the character of a variation marker (phoneme or phoneme combination), c) the place of a variation marker (the final syllable of the word -- not the final syllable of the word). The typology is available to differentiate the central, nuclear components of the field of the variant in argots and the periphery ones.
