Summary: The effects of low-energy, high current density, elevated-temperature nitrogen ion implantation on surface-layer microstructures determined using X-ray diffraction and optical and electron microscopy are examined for several ferrous materials. Solid solutions, precipitates of new phases and amorphization of surface layer are observed as parameters and materials are changed.

Electrophysical properties of magnetic fluid as the characteristics of its major parameters. pp. 68--72
Summary: The electrophysical properties of magnetic fluids based on low-dimentional particles of iron oxide and deckane have been studied depending on concentration of dispersive phase in the range of electric field frequencies of 102--106 Hz. Different structural states of magnetic fluids have been revealed under low and high concentrations of dispersive phase. It has been shown that the estimation of magnetic fluid parameters due to its electrophysical characteristics can be carried out at a frequency of 102 Hz as the most sensitive to concentration variations or the dimention of particles of dispersive phase.

Change of durability and structure of PEHP during thermal aging. pp. 73--77
Summary: This work shows that the rather intensive decrease of the characteristics PEHP containing 0.5 % of spacially complicated amine in the middle of the forecasting term is not accompanied by an output of a material out of operations and was only complex process of formation of new structure with subsequent increasing of the characteristics of the polymeasure. It is nesessary to take into account at forecasting durability of parameters to not underestimate forecasted terms of operation considerably.

Harmonic analysis of results of tribological tests of rubber-metallic interfaces. pp. 78--83
Summary: Cyclic change of tribological parameters of rubber-metallic tribosystems is experimentally established. It is shown that the results of researches can be submitted as the harmonic lines (trigonometrical multimembers). Reveals the influence to parameters of the harmonic lines of a roughness of a surface of the steel shaft, included in the structure of the tested tribo-conjugate. It is shown that the absolute meanings of parameters of the harmonic lines can be used for an estimation of size of the wear and tear of the tribosystems.

Summary: The algorithm for the solution of the syntesis problem of a constituent gear which is a condition for the performance of the transmission ratio is given. Possible constructive varieties of this transmission with an unchangeable interaxial distance and regulated transmission ratio in required range are described, which allows to use it in responsible transmission mechanisms.

The analysis of ecological fuel using in Diesel engines. pp. 91--98
Summary: In this paper presented are results of comparative tests on fuelling Diesel engines with standard gas oil and an ecological fuel. The experiments were carried out on an engine test bed using six-cylinder engine. The two ways of fuellig were evaluated by analysing the basic working parameters of the engine. Also, results of toxicity analysis of exhaust were taken into account.

This information about the obtained during the current measurement of the projections.

The pulse magnetic control of strength characteristics of ferromagnetic articles. pp. 114--118
Summary: On the base of theoretical and experimental investigations of the processes of local magnetization in inhomogeneous pulse magnetic field and of determination of interconnections between the magnetic properties and strength of ferromagnetic articles the large applied problem of designing the method and the devices of nondestructive testing of strength of rolled steel products, among them of products, moving in technological production line, is solved. The method and the devices are the object of the export in the CIS and other countries. They allow to ensure the required level of quality of products thanks the 100% testing and are one of the elements of recourses saving.

Dynamic indentation method as a new direction in the nondestructive control for an estimation of properties of materials. pp. 119--122
Summary: In the paper the new dynamic indentation method for the estimation of material behavior is presented. The method is based on the registration the indenter motion while its impact interaction with material to be tested and further calculation of mechanical properties according to adopted algorithms. The usage of the method for the estimation of the properties of elastic-plastic and viscoelastic materials in industry, material engineering, medicine is shown.

Regularities of anisotropic plasmochemical etching of micron flutes in silicon. pp. 123--130
Summary: The purpose of this paper is to provide physical and chemical explanation of the process of anisotropic U-shape trench etching of silicon in SF6-based plasma using mathematical modelling and its subsequent optimisation. Multivariable experimental design and the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) have been used as a statistical approach in order to systematically characterise the plasma etching process. Application of the U-shape trench optimised etching process has been tested in a multilayer structure: through both an approximately 1 mm epitaxial layer and an n+ buried layer underneath (with an As doping concentration of 1 · 1020 cm-3).

Summary: The results of the investigations carried out at the Institute of Radioecological Problems / National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on diminishing of radioactive contamination of the objects after the Chernobyl NPP accident and ensuring safety when treating waste of decontamination are presented here. The prospects for further development of works in the field specified have been outlined.

Efficiency of individual farms decontamination. pp. 155--159
Summary: The technique for estimation of the efficiency of different methods of decontamination aiming at decreasing dose loads on population living at individual farms with the increased contamination is proposed here. The calculations of decontamination efficiency for a number of populated areas are given. It follows from the analysis of the results of the calculations that exposure dose rate (EDR) exceeding 120 mkR/h in the individual farms, decontamination is effective at any method of decontamination.
