Summary: To analyse deformation of the porous material with a concave form of cells the method of structural unit extracting is used and a three-dimensional rod model is developed. The dependence of Poisson's ratio and Young's modulus on the direction of loading is investigated.

Mechanism and kinetics of pore healing in thermocyclic treatment of deposited coatings. pp. 10--13
Summary: The mechanism and kinetic peculiarities of pore healing under heat-cyclic treatment of coatings deposited by plasma spraying are discussed. It is established that the diffusion-dislocation mechanism of pore healing is the most probable one which implies that not only the vacancies and dislocations initiated on apore surface participate in mass transfer but also the dislocations are involved that emerge at the most stressed sites of the matrix. The main role is assigned to the dislocation loops generated by pores at the stresses close to the theoretical strength of the matrix.

Summary: The method of laser evaporation of metal phthalocyanine thin films is developed. The conductivity, temperature dependence and response to NO2 and NH3 of the laser-evaporated copper phthalocyanine films has been investigated.

Summary: A mathematical model of adaptive control of hydromechanical transmission of a truck with the help of an onboard electronic computer is presented. This model can be uzed mainly for heavy trucks with hydromechanical transmission.

On shaft torsion with a prescribed anisotropy. pp. 22--27
Summary: The stressed-strained condition of a shaft with a helical groobe is considered. A solution of the problem allows evaluation of the maximum torque which may be transmitted by the shaft without plastic strain, the limiting stress and the angle of torsion at a prescribed torque.

Summary: Mathematical models to define bum characteristics under different conditions of surface infeed grinding have been developed. They permit an analysis of the excess grinding depth over the approved level and of the influence of errors in the grinding parameters on the results of control of the working cycle.

Interrupted quenching of the parts of complicated configuration under induction heating. pp. 34--40
Summary: A technology of interrupted cooling under induction hardening of workpieces of complicated configuration has been worked out at the Minsk Automobile Plant. The technology excludes cracks, provides necessary hardness and depth with minimum hardening-induced deformations. After surface heating up to optimal temperatures, cooling by a water sprayer is accomplished in an interrupted way in few stages.

Investigation of lateral run-off of the band on a line of the pit conveyer with centering supports. pp. 41--44
Summary: The side run-off of a band on the line of a pit conveyer with centering supports as well as the possibility of improving the self-centering capacity of the linear part of the conveyer have been studied. The band centering by means of special idlers and deflecting rollers restricting the band run-off and transported load spill have been found to be efficient.

Intensification of magnetic-abrasive machining by creation of new lubricating-cooling technological means. pp. 45--47
Summary: New compositions of the lubricating-cooling technological means-based on surfactants intended for magnetic-abrasive machining have been developed. These compositions ensure the 1.4--1.7-fold increase of the efficiency as compared to the presently used "SinMA-l" and "SinMA-2".

Summary: The results of an experimental study of the influence of the tool shape on the size of a hydrodynamic clearace between the tool and the workpiece, on the precision and efficiency of finish operations of functional optic, surfaces are reported.

An acoustic wave sensor based on a monomode fibre light guide with induced anisotropy. pp. 53--55
Summary: The acoustic sensor in a monomode optical fiber with anisotropy induced by the mechanical pressure is investigated. It is shown that it possesses larger sensitivity than sensors based on the optical fiber Mach-Zender interferometer.

Current saturation parameters in n-channel MOSFETs. pp. 56--58
Summary: It is shown that in MOSFETs with a channel length £1µm or substrate dopant level ³1023m-3 the phenomenon of channel current saturation appears earlier then the channel punch-off. Drain to ohmic currents ratio allows determination of the channel resistance increase. The drain voltage function has been calculated for short-channel devices.

Increase of the precision of photometry of half-tone images by the method of direct reading. pp. 59--65
Summary: It is suggested to increase the accuracy of photometry of half-tone images by the method of direct reading using a common tract of videosignal amplification with optical interruption of a light flux by the reference and measuring segments of the field of reading. In relation to the two-beam scheme the accuracy of photometering increases 1.49 times due to decreasing the errors caused by a scatter in the parameters of photoelectric transformers in the measuring and reference branches.

Summary: The problem of synthesis of optimal controls of the objects on a set of functioning states is considered. The structure of a multichannel (in relation to the number of states) control device of static and dynamic objects is obtained.

Optimization of the speed of response of the systems of conversion and processing of graphic information. pp. 70--75
Summary: Mathematical models and methods of automatic input and processing of graphic information are developed to increase the speed of response of a system. The problem to minimise the average risk at fixed parameters of the algorithm and noises is solved thus allowing the choice of the domain of optimum thresholds of reading of images.

Summary: The structural-algorithmic model of Cellular Automaton is suggested. Based on this model the task of description of handwritten alphanumeric symbols is solved. The images processed can be of the various size, inclination and thickness of lines.

Summary: The most general parameters of the system of monitoring of menancing ecological situations in the zone of highways are described. A mathematical model for calculation of the ecological safety coefficient is given and allocation of the points of ecological control are substantiated which make it possible to collect the representative ecological information.

Summary: Mine instrumental and geophysical investigations have been carried out in freshly driven workings to define the zones with the maximum stress state. The results obtained allow clear-cut recommendations to be given on peculiarities of supporting junctions in the development workings at a depth 700 to 850 m.

Land-slide motion at different laws of dry friction. pp. 94--97
Summary: Different dry friction laws are discussed as applied to land-slide motion as an example. In each case the results of analytical and numerical studies of the one-dimensional land-slide motion are reported. In numerical calculations, the finite-difference method on moving grids has been employed.

Matrix form of the equations for design of the shells with finite transverse shear rigidity. I. Initial relations. pp. 98--102
Summary: Closed shells of revolution made of linearly elastic material with finite transverse shear rigidity are considered. Physical relations describe laminated nonisotropic composite materials and continuous models of regular trusses such as plates and shells. All basic design relations required for studying the stressed-strained state of thin-walled elements of structures at static and thermal loads are obtained in the matrix form.

Matrix form of the equations for design of the shells with finite transverse shear rigidity. II. The system of equilibrium equations in displacements and their solution. pp. 103--108.
Summary: Equilibrium equations and all basic physical and geometrical relationships for shells of revolution of the finite transverse shear rigidity relative to displacements are presented. Finite-difference relationships are considered reducing the problem to solving a system of linear algebraic equations. Two variants for boundary conditions are proposed. An algorithm for solving the problems of statics and thermal strain of structure thin-walled elements is given.

Dynamics analysis of a hydraulic drive of the vibration sources of seismic waves. pp. 109--114
Summary: The paper presents a dynamic calculation of a hydraulic drive for seismic waves vibration sources. Physical and mathematical models are considered. A calculation of the main dynamic characteristics for pumps with constant outlet pressure of the RNA1D type produced by PA "Hydroprivod" (Snahty, Russia) is made using a mathematical model. The expediency of their application in seismic waves vibration sources is grounded.

Kinetics of wood pellet combustion in a fluidized bed. pp. 115--123
Summary: Devolatilization and char combustion of a single wood pellet in a fluidized bed has been studied. The effect of operation parameters (bed temperature, bed particle size, oxygen concentration) and pellet characteristics has been investigated. A simplified analytical model of heat-transfer controlled pyrolysis has been developed to interpret the measured volatiles release time. The model predictions are in a good agreement with the experimental data, provided that the initial physical properties of the pellet are used. The model can be used to estimate the devolatilization times in other combustion systems. Kinetic parameters of char combustion are obtained based on the measured burnout times and simple model considerations. The physical properties of wood pellets need further study.

Summary: The simplified method of express-analysis of the efficiency of heat-supply systems is developed in relation to such characteristics as geometric characteristics of the system, absolute heat losses in the systems and heat input in the heat-supply system.
