Laureates of 100 Talents competition of NAS of Belarus were announced

The Decision of the Bureau of the Presidium establishes the list of laureates of 100 Talents competition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus 2019. It includes 10 young scientists.

  • Maksim Usachenok, Deputy Head of “Plasma Physics” Centre of the state scientific institution Institute of Physics n.a. B. Stepanov of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences;
  • Alexey Trukhanov, Leading Research Scientist of Magnetic Film Physics Laboratory of State Research and Production Association Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Material Science, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences;
  • Dmitry Yakimchuk, Senior Researcher of Cryogenic Research Department of State Research and Production Association Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Material Science, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences;
  • Yaroslav Dichenko, Senior Researcher of Protein Engineering Laboratory of State Scientific Institution Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Chemical Sciences;
  • Sergey Lysenko, Director of State Scientific Institution Institute of Nature Management of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences;
  • Marina Shabeta, Academic Secretary of State Research and Production Association Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Bioresources, Candidate of Biological Sciences;
  • Tatiana Khrustaleva, Senior Researcher of Multi-purpose Diagnostic Laboratory of State Scientific Institution Institute of Physiology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Biological Sciences;
  • Alexey Kapliev, Senior Researcher of the Department of Current History of Belarus of the State Scientific Institution Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Historical Sciences;
  • Egor Gusakov, Head of Cooperation Sector of the Republican Scientific Unitary Enterprise Institute of System Researches in Agroindustrial Complex of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Economic Sciences;
  • Irina Kaltovich, Senior Researcher of the Meat Technology Department of Scientific and Production Republican Subsidiary Unitary Enterprise Institute of Dairy and Meat Industry of the Republican Unitary Enterprise Scientific and Practical Centre for Foodstuffs of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Candidate of Technical Sciences.
  • The laureates of annual 100 Talents competition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus are included into data bank “100 Talents of NAS of Belarus” and reserve of management staff of NAS of Belarus. Besides, they are awarded a nonrecurring grant for participation in an international scientific event within one calendar year from the date of the competition result announcement. If the annual reports on scientific and research, pedagogic and innovative activities get satisfactory estimates, the laureates obtain an annual premium in the amount of 50 base units during the period of being included into the data bank “100 Talents of NAS of Belarus”.

    The 100 Talents competition of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was first held in 2018. Its main aims are to implement measures of attraction and retention of talented young people in the scientific, scientific-technical and innovation spheres, creating of youth research group and rejuvenation of the staff composition of scientific organizations of the NAS of Belarus, provision of succession between the scientists of different generations. The total number of young scientists simultaneously included into the data bank “100 Talents of NAS of Belarus” cannot exceed 100 people. Young scientists of the NAS of Belarus that passed Candidate's dissertation defense at the age under 30 years or earned the higher doctorate degree at the age under 40 years.
