Apparatus of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus provides organizational and administrative work to ensure the implementation of its functions by the administration bodies of the Academy of Sciences. In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus about the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Charter of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus apparatus of the National Academy of Sciences consists of structural units created to prepare and organize the implementation of decisions of the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus and the administration bodies of the Academy of Sciences, and subordinate to the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus.

In order to ensure the implementation by the Academy of Sciences of the functions of the highest state scientific organization of the Republic of Belarus, as well as individual functions of the republican government body, the following basic tasks are assigned to the apparatus of the Academy of Sciences:

• organization of implementation and participation in the implementation of decrees, edicts and orders of the President of the Republic of Belarus, decisions of the Government of the Republic of Belarus, other legal acts on scientific activities, resolutions of the General Assembly, Presidium, Bureau of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, orders, orders and instructions of the Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, and also the implementation of continuous monitoring of their implementation;
• efficient preparation of draft documents of the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the governing bodies of the Academy of Sciences;
• systematic analysis of the state of individual issues of the Academy of Sciences, identification of topical issues and preparation of relevant proposals on this basis;
• material, technical and organizational support of the activities of the governing bodies of the Academy of Sciences, as well as the activities carried out by them.

The NAS of Belarus apparatus provides methodological, informational, advisory, organizational and other assistance to organizations subordinated to the Academy of Sciences in ensuring their activities, and carries out other measures that contribute to increasing the effectiveness of the Academy of Sciences. It currently consists of departments and divisions headed by managers; branches of the Academy of Sciences, headed by academicians-secretaries of branches of the Academy of Sciences.
