On April 9, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., the Institute of Biophysics and Cell Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (Minsk, Akademichnaja str., 27, assembly hall (room 141)) will host the 29th Godnev Readings. The event will be attended by a leading researcher, head of the functional genomics group at the Timiryazev Institute of Plant Physiology of the RAS, Doctor of Biology, Associate Professor Irina Vasilyevna Goldenkova-Pavlova with a lecture Experimental and Theoretical Tools for Monitoring the Translational Effectiveness of Plant mRNAs: Their Relevance for Functional Genomics and Plant Biotechnology.

The report will discuss the possibilities of researchers for the design of translatome maps of plants. A systematic study of translation control in plants during ontogenesis, as well as the tissue and organ specificity of translation control, can clarify many fundamental issues and is necessary to clarify the mechanisms that ensure the uniqueness of each organ and tissue.
