Targets and goals:
The Annual Bulletin "State of the Environment of Belarus" is an information and analytical publication produced under the auspices of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus, which characterizes the state of the environment of the Republic of Belarus this year, and also gives an analysis of trends in its changes previous years. The bulletin materials, containing the results of monitoring observations, consider the statistical and dynamic characteristics of the state and use of the region’s natural resources, the degree of transformation of the natural environment as a result of economic activities, the elimination of the negative effects of such impacts and the optimization of the environmental situation in the Republic of Belarus. The bulletin uses processed and analyzed data obtained in the National Environmental Monitoring System, data from the Ministry of Statistics and Analysis of the Republic of Belarus, materials from the State Water Cadastre, environmental monitoring of forest condition, as well as regular monitoring of forest condition in industrial centers. Some sections of the publication contain the results of research conducted in the units of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The bulletin is prepared at the State Scientific Institution "Institute of Nature Management of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus". The Institute of Experimental Botany named after V.F. Kuprevich, the Institute of Zoology and the Institute of Forest of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, divisions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of of the Republic of Belarus and other organizations.
