SHUSHKEVICH Stanislav Stanislavovich

Stanislav Stanislavovich Shushkevich (b. 15.12.1934, Minsk), a scientist in the field of radiophysics, statesman and public figure. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1991), Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences (1970), Professor (1973). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the BSSR (1982).

Scientific works in the field of radiophysics. One of the authors of the fundamental works on single-electron photo registration. He developed methods of electron introscopy, imaging methods and coordinated solid-state detectors of ionizing radiation. Under his leadership, a set of studies was carried out to ensure the production of super-large integrated circuits, radio-spectrometric control of electronic equipment materials was widely introduced, a new class of devices was created — small-sized radio spectrometers for general and special purposes.

Author of more than 150 scientific papers, incl. 3 monographs and textbooks, 72 inventions.

Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR in 1985. State Prize of the BSSR in 1988 for a textbook for higher educational institutions "Fundamentals of Radio Electronics".
