BARDYSHEV Ivan Illarionovich

Ivan Illarionovich Bardyshev (14.07.1912, v. Russkiye Norvashi, Yantikovo district, Chuvash Republic – 30.10.2000), a scientist in the field of wood chemistry. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1959), Doctor of Chemical Sciences (1953), Professor (1955). Member of the Great Patriotic War.

Scientific works on the development of modern methods for the analysis of terpenoids, the study of their chemical structure and transformations, the synthesis of practically important products. Developed a technology for the synthesis of medical preparations-camphor, elikamfory, fenkhon and their derivatives, the method of clarification of rosin, methods for producing hydrogenated, polymerized and disproportionated rosin, rosin with high dielectric properties and others. Established the quantitative composition of mixtures of terpenes, their oxygen-containing derivatives and resin acids isolated from coniferous trees.

Author of more than 500 scientific papers, incl. 6 monographs, more than 50 inventions.

Awarded with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1962), World War of the II degree (1985), medals.
