BODYAKO Mikhail Nikolaevich

Mikhail Nikolaevich Bodyako (17.08.1914, v. Pechary, Kostyukovichi district, Mogilev region – 19.02.1998), scientist in the field of metallurgy. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1974), Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor (1968). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the BSSR (1981).

Scientific research on the thermokinetics of structural and phase transformations in metals and alloys under conditions of high and ultrahigh heating rates, metal recovery processes and metal recrystallization, in which temperature hysteresis of recrystallization processes under the influence of high heating rates was experimentally established. Developed the theoretical foundations of recrystallization thermokinetics.

Author of about 200 scientific papers, incl. 5 monographs, more than 30 inventions.

State Prize of the BSSR in 1988 for the development of the theory, technology and equipment for obtaining heterogeneous materials by electrothermal methods and the organization of mass production of these materials.

Awarded with medals.
