In memory of the scientist :: DOMBAL Tomash Frantsevich

Tomash Frantsevich Dombal (29.12.1890, v. Sobów, Rzeszow Voivodeship, Poland – 04.12.1938), economist. Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (1933), Doctor of Economic Sciences (1934), Professor (1932).

— Graduated from the Moscow Agricultural Academy (1927),
— Institute of Red Professorship (1932).
— Since 1918 - participated in the international peasant movement.
— Since 1923 - Deputy Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Peasant International.
— In the 1920s - at the Executive Committee of the Comintern, the International Organization of Assistance to the Revolutionary Fighters (MOPR), founded the International Agricultural Institute (1926).
— In 1932-1935 - Vice-President and Director of the Institute of Economics of the Belarusian Academy of Sciences.
— Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Belarus in 1932-1937, member of the CEC of the BSSR in 1935-1937.
— Arrested in 1936. Sentenced to capital punishment. Rehabilitated in 1956.
