RADYNO Yakov Valentinovich

Yakov Valentinovich Radyno (01.12.1946 – 09.12.2016), v. Brilki, Volozhin district, Minsk region, mathematician. Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (2004), Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences (1987), Professor (1988).

Scientific works on functional analysis and its applications: the theory of operators, differential-operator equations, spectral theory, the theory of generalized functions, non-Archimedean analysis, mathematical physics. He developed a qualitative theory of linear differential equations with regulatory operators in locally convex spaces. Introduced the concept of a vector of exponential type and on its basis built a functional calculus, which is used in the study of differential and differential-operator equations. He built (jointly with AB Antonevich) a theory of nonlinear generalized functions (mnemofunctions). He developed the theory of generalized functions and mnemofunctions on the adele group using in mathematical and quantum physics. Investigated various boundary value problems for partial differential equations. He was the scientific editor of the first in Belarus “Russian-Belarusian Mathematical Dictionary” (1993), co-author and scientific consultant of the first in Belarus “Matematychnaya entsyklapedyya” (2001).

Author of about 150 scientific papers, incl. 10 monographs, textbooks and manuals.

State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in 1996 for the cycle of works "Operator Methods in Differential Equations". LKSMB Prize in 1978 for the series of works "Linear differential equations in locally convex spaces".
