The IX Belarusian Congress «Mechanics – 2022» will be held at the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering

On September 14–15, 2022, the IX Belarusian Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics «Mechanics – 2022» will be held on the basis of the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The forum will be the main event of the year and is dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the founding of the institute.

The business program of the congress will include plenary (September 14) and sectional (September 15) sessions. In the hall, the congress participants will be able to get acquainted with the latest science-intensive products and services of the Institute, as well as scientific and technical literature, the exposition of which will be presented by the Republican Scientific and Technical Library. There will also be a presentation of the historical photo album «Uniting Destinies», published by the Institute for the anniversary.

More than 130 applications were received by the congress secretariat. The reports reflect achievements in the field of machine mechanics, resource mechanics, machine-building materials and technologies, computer mechanics, robotization of machines and equipment. This confirms the main idea of the congress: to bring together scientists from the various areas of mechanics, to ensure a fruitful exchange of advanced ideas, technological advances, and original methodology in education.

The congress will begin with a solemn meeting. At it, the participants and guests will be presented with the premiere screening of a documentary film about the history of the Joint Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus «It was recently».

We recall that the tradition of holding Belarusian congresses on theoretical and applied mechanics was founded in 1995. Since 2007, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the United Institute of Mechanical Engineering have been the constant organizers of the mechanics forum.
