Preparations for the 35th meeting of the IAAS Council discussed in Moscow

From August 25 to 27, 2022, a delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, consisting of the Deputy Head of the IAAS, the Head of the Aerospace Activities Department of the NAS of Belarus P.A. Vityaz and the Head of the Main Department of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the NAS of Belarus V.V. Podkopaev was in Moscow (Russian Federation) preparing the 35th meeting of the Council of the International Association of Academies of Sciences, which will be held in Moscow and St. Petersburg on September 26-30, 2022.

The event will be held on the basis of the National Research Center «Kurchatov Institute» and Moscow State University with the participation of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a co-organizer. As part of the visit, the delegation visited the National Research Center «Kurchatov Institute», Moscow State University and the Russian Academy of Sciences, where a detailed discussion with those responsible from the leadership of these organizations took place on a wide range of issues related to the preparation and holding of the 35th meeting of the IAAS Council.

For reference: At present, IAAS includes 25 major scientific centers from 15 states. Within the framework of IAAS, there are 24 international scientific councils in advanced areas of science development. Since 2017, the base Academy of Sciences of the IAAS has been the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Head of the IAAS is the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician V.G. Gusakov.
