Currently (April 25–30, 2023), the visit of a delegation of ministries and departments of the Republic of Cuba headed by Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Environment of the Republic of Cuba Armando Rodriguez Batista is taking place.

On April 26, the delegation members met with Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus V.G. Gusakov, during which the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the NAS of Belarus and scientific organizations of Cuba, as well as ways to develop bilateral cooperation. Biotechnologies, agriculture, and information technologies have been identified as the most promising areas of cooperation for the near future. An agreement has been reached on the joint participation of specialists from the two countries in the starting competition of Belarusian-Cuban projects under the BRFFR.

Within the framework of the visit, the Cuban delegation is expected to visit a number of organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the physico-technical, chemical-biological and agricultural fields. Negotiations are planned at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Belarus, as well as leading universities of the country.
