The session of the General Assembly of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has completed its work. It was attended by about 400 representatives of academic, university and branch science, heads of republican public administration bodies.

The event was attended by Mikhail Myasnikovich, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Andrei Ivanets, Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Shlychkov, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology, Alexander Guchok, Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Belarus, and other distinguished guests.

The report on the activities of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2022 and the tasks for 2023 was made by the Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vasily Gursky. 16 people took part in the debate: heads of scientific organizations, leading scientists of the country.

Following the results of the session, the Resolution of the General Assembly "On the results of scientific, technical and innovative activities of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in 2022 and tasks for 2023" was adopted as a basis.

At the session of the General Assembly, Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich presented awards to scientists of the Academy of Sciences. Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov was awarded a badge "For contribution to the development of the Eurasian Economic Commission". Honorary diplomas of the EEC were awarded to Academic Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Academician Alexander Kovalena and Sergey Zolotoy, Director of the Republican Enterprise "Geoinformation Systems". The EEC Letter of thanks was presented to the Chief Scientific Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vasily Gursky.

According to the results of the work in 2022, a large group of scientists were awarded the awards of the Academy of Sciences. Thus, the badge "Silver Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus "For Achievements in Science" was awarded to Sergey Usanov, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor, Corresponding Member. Sergey Alexandrovich was also awarded the honorary title "Full Holder of Medals of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus". Valery Goncharov, Director of the Center for System Analysis and Strategic Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was awarded the badge "Grand Medal of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus". Honorary diplomas of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were awarded to Gennady Aronov, Director of the Center of Geophysical Monitoring of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Tamara Korbut, Deputy Director General for Scientific Work of the United Institute of Energy and Nuclear Research - Sosny of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Sergey Bakhanovich, Deputy Director for Scientific and Innovative Work of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was awarded a Commendation from the Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
