First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Sergei Chizhik, Chairman of the primary organization of the Belarusian Women's Union of the NAS of Belarus Yulia Kochurko, Chairman of the United Branch Trade Union Organization of Workers of the NAS of Belarus Ivan Baranovsky and Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists Maxim Kuchvalsky made welcoming speeches at the opening.

In front of the guests, creative numbers were performed by pupils of sanatorium kindergarten No. 434.
Master classes of the children's scientific club Molecule, fascinating trials and experiments, treats and gifts were prepared for the visitors. Interactive platforms of the Institutes of the NAS of Belarus also worked. And the competent jury, chaired by Yulia Kochurko, selected the winners of entertaining contests, including sports competitions, an intellectual quiz and a children's drawing contest on asphalt dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation – The World through the Eyes of Children.

Family holiday "My Family is the Academy!" is dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation, Family Day and Children's Day and is held to promote family values, attract attention and motivate children to study the field of scientific research and the continuity of generations.
