Another fragment of tableware with the ancestral sign of Prince Izyaslav discovered at the archaeological complex on the Mienka River

On July 7, 2023, at the archaeological complex on the Mienka River, where large-scale studies of the site of ancient town and settlements have been conducted since the end of May under the leadership of the Head of the department of the Institute of History Andrei Voitekhovich, another fragment of tableware with the ancestral sign of Prince Izyaslav, the son of Ragneda and Vladimir, was discovered. Last year, the first discovery of this kind was made, which greatly influenced the plans for a large-scale study of historical and cultural value near the village of Garadzishcha, Minsk district.

The excavations are attended by students of BSU and Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Brest State A.S. Pushkin University, P.M. Masherov Vitebsk State University, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University, State University of Polotsk and Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University together with the scientists of the Institute of History.
