Press conference held on the topic On the Preparation and Holding of the Science Festival – 2023

On August 24, 2023, a press conference was held at the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus on the topic On the Preparation and Holding of the Science Festival – 2023. First Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Sergey Chizhik and Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Belarus Stanislav Yuretsky told reporters about the preparation of the forum and elaborated on what interesting moments await the guests of the Science Festival – 2023.

On September 2, 2023, in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus, visitors are invited to plunge into the world of finds of archaeologists and discoveries of physicists, space projects and dialogues with robots, attend master classes and intellectual games. As Sergey Chizhik reminded at a meeting with journalists, holding a Science Festival is already becoming a good tradition. "We see a huge interest in Belarusian innovations among the population. This is confirmed by the recent exhibition Intellectual Belarus, which was held in all regions of the country and attracted many visitors." One of the interactive platforms of the upcoming forum is 100 Innovations of Young Scientists. This is the second youth projects exhibition and competition of this kind that are at a high stage of implementation. According to the results of the exhibition, 20 best projects will be selected, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Belarus Stanislav Yuretsky said.

There will be a number of interesting locations at the Festival. So, according to scientists, a platform with robots will arouse great interest among people of all ages. There will be a robot tournament – not just robot football, but also a mini-sumo, where they will fight among themselves. And for the first time, an orchestra of robots will be shown: they will not only play, but also dance.

The Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia and the Russian Academy of Sciences will be represented among the foreign partners of the festival. The All-Russian NAUKA 0+ Science Festival, the scientific and educational center Reserved Embassy of the Moscow Zaryadye Park will also participate. It will also be possible to visit the Atom team site, organized by the Atomic Energy Information Center of Minsk with the support of the engineering division of the Rosatom State Corporation (ASE).

The Science Festival will be held on September 2, 2023 from 11.00 to 19.00 in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus.
