On August 24, representatives of the leadership of the NAS of Belarus organizations met with a delegation of Qinghai Minzu University.

From the Belarusian side, the meeting was attended by the Head of the Main Directorate of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir V. Podkopaev, Director of the Center for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the NAS of Belarus Alexander I. Lokotko, Director of the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Belarus Nikolai L. Myslivets, Deputy Director of the Institute of Experimental Botany named after V.F. Kuprevich of the NAS of Belarus Zhanna N. Kalatskaya, Secretary of the Academic Council of the University of the NAS of Belarus Andrey V. Kalinin. From the Chinese side – Dean of the Graduate School of Qinghai Minzu University Zhang Haiyun, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Ethnology and Sociology of Qinghai Minzu University Jia Wei, lecturer of the College of Literature and Journalism of Qinghai Minzu University Tang Xing and lecturer of the College of Arts of Qinghai Minzu University Ye Qiong. The parties made presentations about the NAS of Belarus and Qinghai Minzu University, as well as the organizations included in their structure. Taking into account the specifics of the activities of this University, the following areas were proposed as promising areas for the development of cooperation: protection, use and preservation of intangible cultural heritage; implementation on mutually beneficial terms of measures for the organization of scientific ecological tourism and the development of measures for the sustainable development of recreational activities; study of the structure, functions and active substances in the characteristic biological resources of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, creation of effective substances from Belarusian and Chinese plants. As possible measures to be worked out at the initial stage, the following were identified: training of Chinese citizens in the master's degree program of the University of the NAS of Belarus, inviting Chinese scientists to study in postgraduate and doctoral studies on the basis of the organizations of the NAS of Belarus, opening a joint Belarusian-Chinese faculty with Qinghai Minzu University, creating a joint center for the study of topical problems of study of art, ethnography, folklore studies, language and literature with the participation of the Center for the Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Researches of the NAS of Belarus and Qinghai Mingzu University, organization of joint comparative sociological research on the topic Youth of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China: Attitude to the Past, Present and Vision of the Future, performing joint research within projects of various levels in the field of development and production of phytopreparations for various purposes. The parties noted the importance of cooperation between the NAS of Belarus and Qinghai Minzu University in these areas in the context of the implementation of the One Belt, One Road concept, in this connection the Chinese side pledged to work out possible mechanisms for financing joint activities from funds accumulated in China for events within the framework of the One Belt, One Road initiative in the near future. The parties agreed to formalize the decisions taken at the meeting by signing cooperation agreements between Qinghai Minzu University and organizations of the NAS of Belarus.

Qinghai Minzu University was founded in December 1949. Qinghai Minzu University has 15 faculties, 5 directly subordinate academic departments, 23 educational and research institutes, 75 centers for the preparation of masters, study takes place in 53 bachelor's degree specialties. The main areas of studies are literature, law, economics, management, education, culture.
