According to the Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 279 of September 7, 2023, scientists and specialists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were awarded state awards.

The Francysk Skaryna Medal was awarded to: Mikhail A. Andreev, Deputy Director of the O.V. Roman Powder Metallurgy Institute, Director of the Institute of Welding and Protective Coatings, and Alexey V. Trukhanov, Academic Secretary of the Department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences of the NAS of Belarus. According to the press service of the President of the Republic of Belarus, a total of 60 representatives of various fields of activity were awarded state awards. Orders, medals and honorary titles were awarded for many years of fruitful work, high professionalism, exemplary performance of official duties, courage and bravery shown during the rescue of people during a fire, merits in military service and protection of the state border, significant personal contribution to the improvement of the tax system, the implementation of the socio-economic policy of the country, the development of forestry production, transport industry, mechanical engineering and agriculture, outstanding achievements in the fields of education, health, science, culture and sports.
