On September 14, 2023, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference State Policy in the Field of History: Problems and Prospects of Preserving Historical Truth and Memory was held in the NAS of Belarus. The forum was organized by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State University. The conference was attended by representatives of the leadership of the republican state administration bodies, the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, regional (and Minsk City) executive committees, institutions of higher education, scientific circles and expert community, museums, archives, public associations, mass media.

At the plenary session, the Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus Igor Sergeenko read the greeting of the President of Belarus Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko to the participants of the conference. "We, Belarusians, are a people with a rich centuries-old history. We are proud of our past, great achievements and trials of our ancestors, which they went through worthy worthily. We remember in what difficult conditions the value foundation of the Belarusian statehood was created. Today, on its basis, we continue nation-building and strengthen the sovereignty of Belarus," the greeting reads.

The work of the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference State Policy in the Field of History: Problems and Prospects of Preserving Historical Truth and Memory was continued within the framework of three specialized sections, where the problems of scientific and theoretical, informational and ideological support for the implementation of state historical policy in the Republic of Belarus, as well as the implementation of this policy in the education system were discussed. In addition, the participants of the conference were able to get acquainted with thematic exhibitions of modern scientific, popular science, educational, methodical and artistic publications, documents of the National Archival Fund, as well as with the archaeological exposition of the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus.
