On September 20–22, 2023, the 36th meeting of the Council of the International Association of Academies of Sciences (IAAS), dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Association, will be held in the NAS of Belarus. A meeting of the Council of Young Scientists of the IAAS will be held on the eve.

The event will be attended by presidents and representatives of the leadership of the national academies of sciences of Russia, Belarus, three provinces of China, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cuba, Vietnam, Mongolia, the Kyrgyz Republic, etc. Heads of leading scientific centers will also take part in the work of the Council of the International Association of Academies of Sciences. Among them are the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Kurchatov Institute (Russia), the Russian Academy of Education and others.

A number of important issues will be considered at the meeting. The participants will discuss the main results of the activities of the IAAS, the activities of the scientific councils of the IAAS and the creation of new scientific councils, the admission of a new member to the IAAS, the election of full members (academicians) of the IAAS and other important issues. The heads of the academies of sciences will focus on issues of further mutually beneficial cooperation in key areas of the development of modern science, leading scientists from different countries will make scientific reports.
