On September 18, 2023, a delegation of the Ministry of Higher Education of Cuba headed by Deputy Minister Mr. Reynaldo Velázquez Zaldívar visited the NAS of Belarus.

The guests got acquainted in detail with the latest developments of scientists of the NAS of Belarus, which are presented at the permanent exhibition Achievements of National Science for Production.

During the meeting with Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir G. Gusakov, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between the NAS of Belarus and scientific and educational organizations of Cuba, as well as ways to develop cooperation, including in the field of training highly qualified personnel, mutual visits of specialists to exchange experience and give lectures on various disciplines.

Following the negotiations, an agreement was signed between the NAS of Belarus and Cuba’s Higher School of State and Government Personnel, as well as a Framework Agreement on Scientific Cooperation between the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the NAS of Belarus and the University of Havana.
