On October 3–4, 2023, with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the forum Russia and Belarus: Common History, Common Destiny will be held at the site of the NAS of Belarus in Minsk, dedicated to preserving the historical memory of Russia and Belarus, to countering the falsification of the joint history of the two countries, the reviewing the World War II results, including the Nazi criminals’ and their accomplices’ rehabilitation, by strengthening humanitarian ties and developing cooperation. The event is organized by the Center for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Historical Memory Foundation and the Institute of History of the NAS of Belarus.

The forum will be attended by representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, authorities and public administration of Belarus and Russia, institutions of higher education, academia and the expert community, museums, archives, public associations, and the media of the two countries.

The purpose of the forum is to promote the preservation of the historical memory of Russia and Belarus, as well as to counter attempts to falsify the joint history of the two countries and revise the World War II results, including the Nazi criminals’ and their accomplices’ rehabilitation, by strengthening humanitarian ties and developing cooperation between scientists and the public of Russia and Belarus.
