Official events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the NAS of Belarus to be held on October 12-13, 2023
On October 12, 2023 (Thursday) at 10.00, the NAS of Belarus will host the grand opening of the II Forum and exhibition of the IT Academgrad Artificial Intelligence in Belarus, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. At the II Forum of the IT Academgrad Artificial Intelligence in Belarus, an exhibition of significant domestic developments in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics will be organized, as well as a presentation of the Belarusian digital artificial intelligence platform, an open competition Leaders of Artificial Intelligence in Belarus 2023, and work of thematic sections and a round table.
October 12, 2023 (Thursday) at 11.00 (after the Artificial Intelligence in Belarus exhibition’s opening) the grand opening of the architectural and artistic composition Golden Ring of Belarusian Science and the ceremony of laying a capsule with a message to descendants will take place.
On October 13, 2023, at 15.00, an official meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the NAS of Belarus will be held (Large Conference Hall of the NAS of Belarus, 66 Niezaliezhnasci Ave., 2nd floor), where the best scientists of the country will be awarded. In the hall of the second floor of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, you will be able to get acquainted with the expositions of the humanitarian profile: an archaeological exhibition, an exhibition of modern book publications, an exhibition of literature devoted to the history of the Academy of Sciences. The updated permanent exhibition Achievements of National Science for Production, the Museum of the History of the NAS of Belarus will be freely available.
The Fourth International Scientific and Practical Conference Science is the Basis of our Statehood will be held on October 10–13, 2023 during the anniversary celebrations. The conference program includes fundamental and applied issues of creating high-tech technologies, materials and products in breakthrough areas of science development.

October 10–13, 2023 – The Fourth International Scientific and Practical Conference Science is the Basis of our Statehood (thematic sections work on the basis of scientific organizations of the NAS of Belarus).
October 13 is the Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. 95 years ago on this day, a resolution was adopted by the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the BSSR on the reorganization of the Institute of Belarusian Culture into the Belarusian Academy of Sciences. And already on October 14, 1928, the resolution of the CEC and the CPC of the BSSR was published in the central newspapers of Belarus. The famous Belarusian historian Vsevolod Ignatovsky was elected its first president in December 1928. Among the first academicians are such famous names as Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Tsishka Gartny. The opening of the Academy of Sciences took place on January 1, 1929. Over the years, the Academy changed its name – initially it was called the Belarusian Academy of Sciences, then the Academy of Sciences of the Belarusian SSR, later the Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Since 1997 it has the status of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
