Dear colleagues! Dear friends!

On behalf of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus and on my own behalf, I cordially congratulate you on the anniversary date, the 95th anniversary of the NAS of Belarus!

On October 13, 1928, by the resolution of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the BSSR, the Institute of Belarusian Culture was reorganized into the Belarusian Academy of Sciences.

For the second year we celebrate the Day of the NAS of Belarus, our holiday. In fact, academic science has received its "Birthday", which it was decided to celebrate annually in a festive atmosphere and to invite the leading scientists.

As you can see, the history of the Academy of Sciences is inseparable from the most important stages of the development of Belarus, is inextricably linked with the greatest achievements of world and domestic science. Modern scientific organizations honor and continue the traditions of their predecessors.

95 years is a good reason to sum up. Today, without the participation of science, it is impossible to imagine the processes of state-building and economic achievements. Scientists play a leading role in the formation of methodological and theoretical foundations of sustainable development of society. The issues of education and patriotism, formation of the ideological foundation of the Belarusian state are also areas of responsibility of the scientific community. The policy of comprehensive intellectualization of the country, taken and supported by the leadership of Belarus, gives a clear guideline: "science is the basis for solving current problems and the locomotive of progress in the strategic perspective."

The modern National Academy of Sciences functions as a single powerful living organism. We use corporate and cluster approaches in setting and solving ambitious tasks. The hallmark of the Academy is the latest developments in a wide range of current scientific and technological trends. These are nuclear and renewable energy, aerospace, artificial intelligence, digitalization and robotics, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, mechanic and instrument engineering, unmanned and electric vehicles, new composite materials and much more.

The exhibition of scientific and technical achievements Intellectual Belarus, which main organizer was the Academy of Sciences, proved that Belarus is a highly intelligent country. Our scientists can solve any complexity of tasks: from the creation of IT technologies, artificial intelligence and robotics to spacecraft, electric vehicles and military instrumentation. As the Head of State noted on January 20, 2023 during a visit to the exhibition, "in fact, we have not only enough for defense and security, but also for peaceful life."

The results obtained by Belarusian scientists can rightfully be classified as breakthrough. These include the creation of a system for computer modeling of medicines using artificial intelligence, the development of an unmanned tractor, quadrocopters and other UAVs, the creation of a unique battery (a prototype of a sodium-graphene traction battery), etc. Even more impressive results are ahead.

I wish you, dear friends, new achievements, the embodiment of the boldest ideas, the conquest of new scientific peaks.
