The primary organization of the Belarusian Women’s Union of the NAS of Belarus together with the United Branch Trade Union Organization of Employees of the NAS of Belarus and the Council of Young Scientists on the basis of the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library held events dedicated to these holidays.

There was an exhibition-tasting The Warmth of Your Wonderful Hands, where the staff of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus and its subordinate organizations presented their culinary masterpieces. Belarusian writer Victor Shnip read out his poems dedicated to mother.

A round table with fathers with many children from among academic workers and a culinary quiz Breakfast for Dad were held. The event was attended by representatives of different generations: fathers with many children Bogdan V.G., Baranovsky I.A., Gulyakevich M.L. and a large family of Taranovs who raise five children, a young father S.S. Yuretsky and academician P.A. Vityaz. Everyone unanimously agreed that fatherhood reveals in a man the need and ability to protect and take responsibility for his family.

Fathers with many children paid special attention to the role of men in the upbringing and socialization of children, shared the experience of the upbringing. P.A. Vityaz urged everyone not to dwell on the demographic results achieved. Summing up the meeting, all participants agreed that it is necessary to preserve and strengthen family values, lead a healthy lifestyle and pass on to our children the happy experience of motherhood and fatherhood!
