In connection with the Day of the NAS of Belarus, a large group of scientists was awarded the prizes of the Academy of Sciences.

On October 23, Chairman of the Presidium Vladimir Gusakov presented a special badge Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus* to Tatiana Gnedko, Deputy Academic Secretary of the Department of Medical Sciences of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus, Alexander Dudik, Director of the Publishing House Belaruskaya Navuka. Natalia Litvinko, Head of the Department of Scientific and Analytical Work of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus, was awarded the Badge of Distinction named after V.M. Ignatovsky of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Honorary diplomas of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus were awarded to Alexander Anzhenkov, Director of the Institute of Land Reclamation of the NAS of Belarus, Natalia Melnikova, Head of the Finance and Accounting Department - Chief Accountant of the Executive Directorate of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research, Denis Muha, Director of the Institute of Economics of the NAS of Belarus and Sofia Samuel, Head of the main editorial office of the Center for Encyclopedic Publications of the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the NAS of Belarus. Honorary diplomas of the Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research were awarded to Pyotr Kazakevich, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus and Sergey Gaponenko, Director of the Institute of Physics of the NAS of Belarus.

*A special badge Day of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus was made in connection with the announcement of a historic date for the NAS of Belarus – October 13 – the date of foundation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. On this day in 1928, the Institute of Belarusian Culture, the first comprehensive state research institution in the history of Belarus, was reorganized into the Belarusian Academy of Sciences (since 1997 – the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus).
