The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is taking part in the 6th China International Import Expo, which is taking place from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai in an exhibition complex with an area of 1.5 million square meters. The event is supported by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Shanghai. This is the largest exhibition event in the world, which is held under the patronage of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping. Thematic sections of the exhibition: industrial equipment; high-quality intelligent equipment; trade in services; food products; consumer electronics and appliances; mechanical engineering and others. The exhibition program includes business events, seminars, conferences, B2B events that provide participants with the opportunity to establish business contacts.

The NAS of Belarus participates in the Exhibition as part of a collective exposition together with the Ministry of Education, the State Committee on Science and Technology and presents over 20 names of academic scientific and technical developments in the form of full-scale samples, mock-ups, and operating models. For example, the Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Science presents graphene-containing material and products based on it. The Physical-Technical Institute of the NAS of Belarus presents technology and equipment for applying composite nanocoats based on diamond-like carbon. This unique technology of physical and chemical deposition, which has no analogues in the world, makes it possible to obtain a wide range of diamond-like carbon materials. The Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry of the NAS of Belarus presents a technology for the production of dry bacterial starter cultures. Such starter cultures are intended for the industrial production of cottage cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cheese, etc. The exhibition also presents single crystals and faceted jewelry inserts made of artificially grown emerald (Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus for Materials Science). Such single crystals are produced with morphological features, physical properties and color characteristics as close as possible to natural precious stones. New developments are presented by Instrument-Making Plant Optron and self-supporting pilot production of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the NAS of Belarus. In total, about 40 scientific and technical developments are presented as part of the collective exposition.
