The Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus is holding an international scientific conference Intellectual Culture of Belarus: Humanitarian Security in the Context of Global Challenges on November 16–17, 2023.

The conference continues a series of annual events of the Institute of Philosophy of the NAS of Belarus dedicated to the UNESCO World Philosophy Day (celebrated on the third Thursday of November) and is dedicated to the disclosure and popularization of the intellectual culture of Belarus in the diversity of its historical, scientific, philosophical and socio-value manifestations.

The issues of the 2023 conference are focused on identifying the role and place of intellectual culture in ensuring humanitarian security and sustainable development of the Republic of Belarus, which is especially important in the conditions of turbulent social dynamics of modernity.

The conference will be attended by scientists, representatives of the expert community, teachers, employees of public authorities and management, enterprises and organizations from Belarus, Russia, the People's Republic of China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Azerbaijan.

The conference program includes a plenary session, the work of five sections: Sociodynamics, sustainable development and humanitarian security in the digital age; Intellectual history of Belarus and world philosophical thought: national, Eurasian, universal contexts; Philosophical and ethical-aesthetic understanding of the problems of culture, science, education and upbringing in the context of ensuring humanitarian security; Formation of a modern scientific picture of the world: transdisciplinary synthesis, humanitarian context; Conceptual and problematic field, modern paradigms of religious studies and philosophy of religion.

There will also be a discussion of key philosophical problems of our time within the framework of six round tables: Ethical principles of the application of biomedical knowledge; Belarus and China in the system of global partnership; Contribution of intellectuals to post-conflict development: pedagogy, philosophy, culture; Transformed forms of modern sociality: ontology, essence, ways of overcoming; Techno- and media sphere of society as factors of socialization and upbringing of the younger generation: socio-philosophical analysis; Phenomena of world culture (to the anniversaries of F. Kafka and A. Camus) and the intellectual platform Young Academy.

A collection of scientific papers in two volumes will be published by the beginning of the conference.
