On November 14, 2023, the National Press Center of the Republic of Belarus hosted a press conference New Agro-Industrial Technologies: the Contribution of Belarusian Scientists to the Development of Agriculture, dedicated to the Day of Workers of Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Agro-Industrial Complex.

The latest developments of scientists of the Department of Agrarian Sciences were told by: Pyotr P. Kazakevich, Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus; Vadim L. Makhanko, Director General of the Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Potato and Fruit and Vegetable Growing; Dmitry I. Komlach, Director General of the Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Agricultural Mechanization; Alexey V. Meleschenya, Director General of Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Food; Vladimir N. Timoshenko – First Deputy Director General for Scientific and Innovative work of the Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Livestock and Viktor N. Bushtevich, Head of the Department of grain crops, Scientific and Practical Center of the NAS of Belarus on Agriculture.

Deputy Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Pyotr P. Kazakevich stressed: "Today we fully ensure the food security of the country. 78% of our food market is produced in Belarus. In addition, our food is exported for more than $7 billion per year. These successes are based, among other things, on innovations that are being introduced into agriculture thanks to agricultural science."
