On December 1, 2023, a working meeting on the formation of a Center for Political Science was held at the NAS of Belarus.

The event was attended by political scientists, sociologists, representatives of the leading research and higher educational institutions of the country: the Institute of Sociology of the NAS of Belarus, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the National Security Academy, the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research, BSU, BSEU, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, mass media. The issues of personnel formation, structure, goals and objectives of the new Center were considered, and prospects for its development were considered.

At the workshop, it was stressed that the creation of a new structure is an important and timely step, especially during the electoral campaign, on the eve of important political events in the country. The main goal of the new Center will be the political support of the state course of the country's leadership. Vladimir Gusakov, Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus, noted during the meeting: "The new Center should be built on a deep theoretical basis and set up for effective operation. His research should be aimed at solving urgent problems facing society, it should be formed based on the needs of our country." Vladimir Gusakov stressed that the new Center will work in close connection with all scientific organizations of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the NAS of Belarus.
