The NAS of Belarus summed up the results of the competition for the best presentation of scientific achievements in 2023 in the media.

The Bureau of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus decided to award the prizes of the competition in the nomination Best Publication to: Volochkovich Tatyana Arsenyevna, columnist of the unitary enterprise Minsk-Novosti News Agency, for a series of articles on the contribution of scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to the development of Belarusian science; Gankina (Arteaga) Vera Mikhailovna, columnist of the editorial board of the Respublika newspaper of the Publishing House Belarus Today of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus, – for a series of materials on the role of Belarusian science in the life of society in the Respublika newspaper.

In the nomination The Best Story (Program) on Radio and Television the winners were: Akisheva (Ermalyuk) Anastasia Pavlovna, commentator of the work organization department of the temporary creative group of the main directorate of radio program production of the general production center of the Belarusian radio, for the cycle of programs Technomania on the Stolitsa radio station; Vasilyeva Valeria Nikolayevna, executive producer of the main directorate of the NTV-Belarus TV channel of the Belteleradiocompany, for the cycle of television programs Science is Near (Nauka ryadom); Turkov Ruslan Nikolaevich, editor of the first category of the Representative Office of the Interstate Television and Radio Company Mir in the Republic of Belarus, for a series of programs on the Mir and Mir 24 TV channels.

The Bureau of the Presidium awarded the victory to Tatyana Vladimirovna Zhdanovich, the leading editor of the scientific and practical journal Nauka i Innovacii (Science and Innovations), in the nomination The Best Publication in a Popular Scientific Publication for a series of materials dedicated to young scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the Science and Innovations journal; Niyakovskaya Natalia Valeryevna, deputy editor-in-chief of the industrial scientific and practical journal Vestnik Bielneftekhima (Bulletin of Belneftekhim), – for a series of materials on the role of Belarusian science in the country's economy in the Bulletin of Belneftekhim journal.

In the nomination The Best Presentation of the Achievements of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus on the Internet, the prizes were awarded to: Androsik Stanislav Anatolyevich, editor of the correspondent office of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise International News Agency Russia Today in the Republic of Belarus, for a series of materials on the contribution of scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus to the development of society; Gavrilova Valeria Sergeyevna, editor of the Economic Information Department of the Main Editorial Office of the Information of the unitary enterprise BelTA, for a series of materials on the activities of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus; Mychko Alina Vladimirovna, correspondent of the Directorate of Information Broadcasting of Stolichnoye Television, for a series of materials on landmark events of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The competition for the best presentation of scientific achievements in 2023 in the media was held by the NAS of Belarus for the fourteenth time in four nominations: Best Publication, Best Story (Program) on Radio and Television, Best Publication in a Popular Scientific Publication and Best Presentation of Achievements of the NAS of Belarus on the Internet. Both professional journalists and non-professional authors, popularizers of science could take part in the competition. A total of 95 works by 22 authors were submitted to the competition. The awarding of the laureates will be timed to coincide with the Day of Belarusian Science.
