On January 26, 2024, Chairman of the Presidium Vladimir Gusakov met with a delegation of Mongolian scientific community headed by Vice Minister of Education and Science Ganbold Ganbayar at the NAS of Belarus. Within the framework of the negotiations, which were also attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Belarus Batsukh Bayarsaikhan, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences Duger Ragdel, Head of the Department for Science, Technology Policy, Innovative Development and Coordination of Executive Policy of the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia Dorjgotov Battogtokh, Head of the Higher Education Policy Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Mongolia Khujuu Tamir, Director of the Foundation for Science and Technology Dorjgochoo Odgerel, as well as academic secretaries of the Departments of Sciences of the NAS of Belarus and heads of Directorates of the Apparatus of the NAS of Belarus, the parties discussed the current scientific and technical cooperation between Mongolia and the Republic of Belarus and noted the significant potential for strengthening Belarus-Mongolia cooperation in the field of science and education.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on signing an updated Agreement with the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia with supplementing it with a roadmap for cooperation for 2024–2025, as well as on working out the issue of signing a Cooperation Agreement between the NAS of Belarus and the Ministry of Education and Science. The parties will also consider the possibility of organizing a Forum of Young Scientists in the first half of 2024 and will work out the issue of training Mongolian specialists in master's, postgraduate and doctoral studies at the University of the NAS of Belarus.

At the end of the meeting, Vice Minister of Education and Science of Mongolia Ganbold Ganbayar thanked the Belarusian side for productive negotiations and a visit to the permanent exhibition of developments of the NAS of Belarus, following which the delegation saw how closely the organizations of the NAS of Belarus are involved in the work of the real sector of the economy of the Republic of Belarus. The Vice Minister also asked Chairman of the Presidium Vladimir Gusakov to find an opportunity to visit Mongolia and make a report to the scientific community on the Belarusian model of science organization and mechanisms for introducing scientific developments into the country's economy.
