Press conference held on the Implementation of Youth Projects in the Territory of the Union State

On April 1, 2024, a press conference was held in the Press Center of the Press House on the Implementation of Youth Projects in the Territory of the Union State. Stanislav Yuretsky, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS, and Maxim Kuchvalsky, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS, took part in the press conference on behalf of the NAS. The scientists told how youth projects are implemented in the territory of the Union State, how work with young people is carried out, which projects exist at the moment and which are planned in the future.

In particular, Stanislav Yuretsky noted that the impetus for youth cooperation in the territory of the Union State was the Congress of Young Scientists of Belarus and Russia, which was held at the end of March last year on behalf of the Presidents of Belarus and Russia. "Within the framework of the Congress, more than 500 participants gathered at the premises of NAS of Belarus, worked for as good as a week, a significant number of Russians arrived, and they got acquainted with our young scientists, i.e. this became an important factor in the formation of joint research teams. As a continuation of this Congress, the International Science Festival of the Union State took place in November 2023, first in Minsk, and then 50 young scientists from the Academy of Sciences and higher educational institutions visited Sochi, where they also spent part of this event at the Congress of Young Scientists of Russia. It should be said that we jointly organize a number of major events, for example, the Science Festival, which takes place annually in early September on the territory of the Central Botanical Garden. Scientists from the Russian Federation and Rosatom come, and last year representatives of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences actively participated, who presented their developments there. What is also important, this year we will hold the exhibition 100 Innovations of Young Scientists for the third time and, as we plan, it will have an international status. Young scientists from scientific organizations from Russia have already confirmed their intention to participate," Stanislav Stepanovich shared.

Representatives of the NAS of Belarus answered numerous questions from journalists.
