On April 19, 2024, as part of the cultural and educational campaign Biblionight-2024, the Central Scientific Library of the NAS of Belarus invites everyone who is passionate about science, who likes to read and discover something new and unexplored to the popular science platform – #ПРОнаука.

From 19:00 to 23:00, an interesting and rich program awaits library guests. At the lecture halls, it will be possible to learn how to restore the size, appearance and even color of dinosaurs from several bones, how to isolate a DNA molecule at home from familiar fruits. The guests will be told the history of cheese, will be introduced to the main stages of creation and achievements in the production of Belarusian electric vehicles, a master class will be held on the basics of automotive design. The guests will be informed about scientific misconceptions and will be told what to do with them as well.

It is impossible to imagine a Biblionight without its main attributes – books! The staff of the Center for the Old Printed Publications and Manuscripts Researches of the Central Scientific Library of the NAS of Belarus will demonstrate to the guests of the event their unique collections of handwritten materials and photographic documents at the exhibition Contribution of Scientists to the creation of Belarusian Science. The guests will be offered Lifetime Editions of Scientists and Cultural Figures of the XVIII–XIX Centuries from the Radziwills Book Collection, Books of Theological Educational Institutions of Russia and Belarus of the XVIII–XIX Centuries and much more. You will be able to listen to the lectures Philistine Consciousness and the Secrets of Professional Search in Genealogy and The Mysterious Yadvigin Sh.: Unknown Photos and Facts from the Biography in the reading room of rare books and manuscripts.

Young experts will find entertainment venues with intellectual games and quests, as well as a master class by the Molecule children's scientific club, where each participant will be able to feel like a real scientist!

There will be also a place for a creative laboratory on our site.

To study history from the books of the XVI—XIX centuries or to go on a space trip? The choice is yours!

During the evening promenade, the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts team will present a pop and poetry program, where novice artists will demonstrate their talents, and unforgettable emotions and good mood will be presented to everybody by the Irish dance school Dance Spirit with the program Rhythms of Ireland.
