Leadership and staff of the NAS of Belarus take part in the republican volunteer clean-up

On April 20, 2024, the leadership and staff of the NAS of Belarus took part in the republican volunteer clean-up. Representatives of the Presidium, institutes and scientific and practical centers of the NAS of Belarus, headed by Chairman of the Presidium of the NAS of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov, worked in the Central Botanical Garden of the NAS of Belarus, laid an exposition of ornamental apple trees and landscaped the territory. Order has also been restored on the territory of the Presidium.

Volunteer clean-ups were held in all organizations of the NAS of Belarus. Work collectives actively put things in order at workplaces and the surrounding area, landscaped courtyards and improved historical and cultural sites. Scientists of the Institute of History and academic institutes carried out a complex of works on the improvement of the archaeological complex’s territory on the Mienka River in the village of Garadzishcha, Minsk district. The deconservation of the wooden defensive structures of the settlement’s rampart has begun.

The Republican volunteer clean-up was held in Belarus on April 20, 2024. This year, the money earned on the day of the clean-up, including at workplaces, will go to: 35% to the Gomel Regional Executive Committee for the reconstruction of the memorial complex For the Children – Victims of War in the settlement of Krasny Berag of the Zhlobinski district, 35% to the Brest Regional Executive Committee for the creation of the republican center for patriotic education of youth on the basis of the Kobryn fortification of the Brest Fortress, 30% – for the reconstruction and restoration of memorial complexes, places of military fame located in the regions and Minsk.
