In 2024, Belarus celebrates the 80th anniversary of its liberation from the Nazi invaders. The cruel events of the Great Patriotic War will forever remain the tragic pages in the memory of the people. That war swept through all the settlements of our Homeland, touched or scorched with fire every inhabitant living on the territory of Belarus. And we must cherish and multiply this memory, not allowing those terrible events to be forgotten.

As the President of the Republic of Belarus A. G. Lukashenko said at the festive events in honor of May 9, 2018: "While we will create films, write books, read poetry and prose about the war, while we will learn poetry and sing military songs in kindergarten, while this topic will be covered in the curricula of schools and our universities absolutely honestly and frankly, until then we will not lose the memory of the war."
