The Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (RANS) announced a competition to nominate laureates for the International Environmental Prize "EcoWorld".
The International Ecology Prize "EcoWorld" is a public award for outstanding achievements in environmental protection and ensuring environmental security, as well as in other environmental activities aimed at sustainable development in the 21st century. The competition should contribute to the development of environmental policy, increase the level of environmental education and ecological culture of the population, development environmental science, spread environmentally friendly technologies, improvement public health and conservation of biodiversity.
Both legal and natural person, groups of authors who directly initiated and implemented projects and programs aimed at preserving the environment and ensuring environmental safety can compete for the Prize. The prize is awarded in 6 categories: environmental policy and environment; environmental education, education and culture; environmental development, resource-saving and non-waste technologies; environmentally safe products and food; ecology and human health; biodiversity and landscapes conservation.
The most effective environmental projects identified by the results of the competition can be implemented in various countries, including the Republic of Belarus. Selection of participants for competition based on submitted applications and documents confirming the implementation of the presented projects and programs. Terms and requirements to the applications and participants are set out in the Regulation on the International Ecology Prize "EcoWorld".
The deadline for the submission of applications for the competition is October 30, 2017. Please note that applications for participation in the competition are accepted in electronic form on the website raen.info
