Humanities scholars hold a press conference under the theme “Updating research in the field of the humanities”

On October 27, 2015 the press conference under the theme “Updating research in the field of the humanities” was held at press room of the House of Press.
The event involved Alexander Kovalenya, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts, NASB Corresponding Member; Alexander Lokotko, Director of the NASB Centre for Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Research, NASB Academician; Alexander Lukashanets, the Centre’s Vice Director for Science, Director of the branch “Institute of Language and Literature named after Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala”, NASB Corresponding Member; Vyacheslav Danilovich, Director of the NASB Institute of History, and Anatoly Lazarevich, Director of NASB Institute of Philosophy.
The participants of the conference presented information on the system of clusters (centres) in the advanced areas of science to be set up at the facilities of the research institutions. Seven clusters are to be established within the Department of Humanities and Arts. At the Centre for Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature Research the International Centre for Belarusian Culture, the International School of Belarusian Language and Literature and the Republican Laboratory of Historical and Cultural Heritage will be established. The Institute of History will open International School for Historical and Archeological Research, the Institute of Sociology will launch the Republican Research Centre for Sociological Monitoring. The Republican Centre for Fundamental and Practical Philosophy will open at the Institute of Philosophy and the Leading Republican Economic School will open at the Institute of Economics.
