First Young Eurasian Scientist Forum opens at NAS of Belarus

Around 500 young scientists from Belarus, Kazakhastan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Turkey, Germany (total 12 countries) are participating in the First Young Eurasian Scientist Forum (YES-Forum).

Chairman of Presidium, National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Vladimir Gusakov expressed hope that the Forum would serve as a good platform for communication between young generation scientists: “Young people are communicating, sharing their ideas, making contacts, planning on future projects and areas of cooperation”.

Chairman of NASB Council of Young Scientists Andrei Ivanets said: “A peculiar feature of our event is that all the projects presented here are joint ones. These are the biggest innovation projects, many of them have already been implemented”.

During the Forum the achievements in a variety of fields will be showcased: environmental protection, medicine, chemistry, materials, etc. The event will focus on scientific breakthroughs, economic and social processes proceeding in the context of the integration processes in the Eurasian area. The Forum will put emphasis on three fields: materials, life sciences and social sciences and humanities.

The Forum will last till December 4, 2015. The program of the event includes round-table discussions, investment project selection, pressing issues discussion as well as a broad cultural program.
